Artist Statement
“I usually focus on the horizon and the sense of meditative peace that brings. Now, for the first time ever, I sometimes look away from the horizon. With the more dynamic composition of curving shorelines, I want to sweep the viewer quickly away from today’s troubled world, into a serene sensation of floating above an unspoiled coastal environment. I hope I have succeeded in preserving the feelings of peace while adding a new uplifting sense of exhilaration.” —Maro Lorimer
